Rachel Zamarripa is a 21 year old accused of stabbing and killing her mother at a West Bexar County home. According to People.com the stabbing happened around 2:30 p.m on Saturday at a home in 1200 block of Farnsworth drive. Deputies said the suspect called authorities on Saturday and told them that she stabbed a family member.

KSAT.com reports that according to documents from Bexar County Medical Examiner's office, the victim was 58-year old Linda Zamarripa who is the mother of Rachel Zamarripa. After she was stabbed, the 58 year old victim was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. News 4 reported that three other adults were home at the time of the alleged killing.

 

 

Rachel Zamarripa to be Charged with First Degree Murder

 

 

Jail records indicate that Rachel is charged with first-degree murder, which is considered a felony, though it is not immediately clear if she has entered a plea or retained an attorney. KSAT reported that Rachel was acting as her mother's caregiver before her death. The outlet indicated that deputies alleged the suspect called 911 to report that she had stabbed a family member. The victim Linda suffered a stab wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene after being found by the deputies.
